New Business Registration Portal
A public-facing business registration portal for the City and County of San Francisco, integrating a web front end with backend tax systems end to end.
The problem
The City and County of San Francisco needed a public-facing New Business Registration portal: a new taxpayer online application that integrates with Treasurer & Tax Collector backend tax systems, with legally binding digital signatures and a paperless review-to-payment workflow.
What I did
Consulted with the City and County of San Francisco to design and implement the portal. It used State of California certified digital signatures to create legitimate legal bonds, then routed applications through a paperless workflow: an Avoka front-end form collecting business data, OnBase evaluating it and calling the Aumentum system of record, a confirmation letter linking to an FIS payment portal, and payment processed through Deluxe ImageRPS before being stored and associated back to the application.
